The Air Jordan 1 Mid "Banned" commemorates the iconic 1985 colorway that was wrongly blamed for Michael Jordan receiving a $5,000 fine every time he wore it. Dressed in a classic Chicago Bulls mix of black and University Red, the shoe features a leather upper. The shortened eyestay is University Red to differentiate it from its predecessor. Underfoot, a white Air midsole provides cushioning and a concentric rubber outsole provides traction.
